Kloter Jack E., Sr.
Rochester: Passed away on November 5, 2017 at age 82. Predeceased by his wife Josephine. Jack is survived by his sons, Jack Jr., and Vincent; daughter, Claudette Kloter, nephews, Michael and John Rizzo; sister-in-law Antoinette DeBona; brothers-in-law Louis DeBona & Vinnie (Linda) DeBona. Visitation will be held Monday, November 13, 11AM - 1PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 & Long Pond Rd) followed by a service at 1PM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Jack was born and raised in Rochester, NY by his parents Edward and Florence. He went to Edison Tech High School, transitioning to Paul Revere Trade School after. When he met Josephine, it was love at first sight. On July 1, 1961, they were married in St. Francis Assis Church. They raised three children, Jack Jr., Vincent & Claudette as well as many furry family members. His favorite pets were a calico cat named China and his dog, Bailey.
He enjoyed taking the family on vacations to places like: Mackinaw Island, Michigan; Hershey, Pennsylvannia & Fantasy Island. Beyond that, the picnics at grandma’s house brought many fond memories.
Jack favorite thing to do was fish. He once caught a huge lake trout in Seneca Lake which ended up appearing in a Field & Stream article. He also was an avid Scratch-Off lover. Daily Numbers & Take 5 were his favorites.
Watching professional wrestling kept his interest on TV. He also enjoyed “Cops” and “In the Heat of the Night.” And food… he Always enjoyed his daughter Claudette’s cooking.
Jack was a hard worker who worked part-time into his 80’s. He was a generous man, always supportive of his family & friends and always a good husband and father. He has a sense of adventure and the gift of humor that was appreciated by many. He will be missed.
