Rocco died peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at age 92.

Predeceased by his beloved son, Nicholas Cirocco who passed away in December 2017. Rocco is survived by his beloved wife Maria G, married 68 years; loving son and daughter in law Cosmo (Susan) Cirocco; and loving daughter and significant other Linda (Tom Mooney) Dupra; adored grandchildren, Nicole (Jesse) Newman, Samuel (Shannon) Dupra, Joseph Dupra, and Christopher Cirocco. He is survived by his brother-in-law Dan Callisto & sister-in-law Margaret Ann Fragnito; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As a young man in Italy Rocco apprenticed to become a carpenter. In June 1955, he accompanied his 2 small sons and teen age brother in law and emigrated from Italy to Rochester to be reunited with his loving wife. He continued to refine his craft with Mascot Construction and then went on to start his own remodeling company with his brother in laws. Rocco later worked with Mark IV Construction as a master carpenter.

In his lifetime he built countless pieces of furniture, kitchens cabinets, bookcases, staircases, doors, fireplace mantels and other wood crafted items and his work will last forever in the Rochester Community. Rocco often gave his wood working pieces to others as gifts and gave endlessly helping his family, friends or someone in need. He could take a living tree and turn it into a piece of art and he believed that his carpenter skills was a gift from God. In his retirement he handcrafted and donated the altar & podium, statue stands and offertory boxes at Padre Pio Chapel in Gates and humbly received a Proclamation from the County of Monroe for his generosity. He became a gifted and skilled craftsman/carpenter.

He also had an infectious love for nature and animals including gardening which was rooted from his upbringing in Italy. Later in life he and his wife Maria enjoyed traveling to their homeland to visit family and friends.

Rocco was a religious and spiritual man who was devoted to God, his family and friends. He was kind and humble; he lived his life with compassion, love, honesty, hard work and integrity. He imbedded these qualities in his children and grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a man who was generous with his skills, his time and his love. We will always remember him as our loving father and while he will be sorely missed he will live on forever in our hearts.
